B CERTIFICATION

Certifying as a B Corporation goes beyond product- or service-level certification. B Corp Certification is the only certification that measures a company’s entire social and environmental performance. The B Impact Assessment evaluates how a company’s operations and business model impact workers, customers, the wider community and the environment. Also involved are evaluations of a company's supply chain and input materials, charitable giving and employee benefits. B Corp Certification proves a business is meeting the highest standards of verified performance. <https://bcorporation.eu/certification>

WATER

Virtually no environmental impact of wastewater discharges is specified at FLORIM. All wastewater from the production cycle at the Group’s locations is 100% reused.

The only water not recycled is that utilised for the company’s washrooms and kitchens.

Furthermore, with by working with their partners FLORIM have developed systems that operate without using water, making them even greener.

ENERGY

FLORIM have installed more than 45,000 m2 of photovoltaic panels and two cogeneration plants. In optimal conditions FLORIM now self-generate up to 100% of the electricity needed to run their factories.

Additionally, FLORIM's photovoltaic plants have cut CO2 emissions. Since 2011, FLORIM have saved more than 12 million kg of CO2.

WASTE

FLORIM have implemented procedures which have enabled them to recover and reuse 100% of the raw tile and slab waste and dust residues within the production process.

Moreover, these procedures have permitted the recycling of almost 99% of total waste, internally and externally.

Exceptionally, besides the waste from their own production cycle, FLORIM are also able to recycle waste generated by other producers.
